This could quite possibly be the most exciting two dives you will ever do, as you swim with and witness Caribbean Reef Sharks as they are fed.

Maybe Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes, but in this two-tank certified dive, you get to swim with the Caribbean reef sharks!

After being picked up on the pier for your Nassau excursion, you will transfer to the dive shop, 45 minutes away. Once you have filled out the required paperwork, you will suit up and head out. This two-tank dive program introduces thrill-seeking divers to wild sharks and provides you a close-up look at these magnificent and misunderstood creatures.

On a magnificent wall, during your first dive, you "Free Swim" with the sharks. Since we're situated close to our feeding spot and they are mindful that dinner will be offered shortly, the sharks will follow you during the dive. On this dive, no bait is exposed. This keeps the sharks engaged and makes a truly natural encounter between divers and sharks, just as you would in the wild.

Your second dive is a shark feeding dive. You will spend this dive kneeling on the sand bottom, which is different from other dives. Divers form a semicircle in front of our professional shark feeder who will place a bait box. This bait box and a pole spear are used by your feeder to manage the food release, which impacts the behaviors of the sharks. While inexperienced shark divers might not see it, your feeder works to keep the sharks in a "nice" feeding position during the shark feeding dives. Caution, the sharks will come very close, but they are more interested in the bait than you.

Please Note: The tour includes complimentary round-trip transfers from your hotel and the use of tanks, weights and weight belts. Any additional equipment (wetsuit or skin with long legs & long sleeve) is not included but is AVAILABLE to rent at the dive shop. Please contact us for any additional information.

Special Instructions

We recommend wearing your bathing suit under comfortable clothing that may get splashed. Sensible, rubber-soled shoes are recommended. A towel, sunglasses, and sunscreen (biodegradable preferred) are also suggested. Each participant is required to wear a full wetsuit with long sleeves and legs. Wetsuits can be rented at the dive shop.

Restrictions

Tanks and weights are included in the price of the tour. Any additional scuba equipment is not included but is available to rent at the dive shop. Photos and videos are taken during each dive and will be available to view and purchase upon returning to the dive shop. This dive is intended for certified divers only. If you have not logged a dive within the last three years, you will be required to complete a refresher program before joining any scheduled dives. A valid certification card (C-card) and photo identification are required at check-in. All participants must be in good physical health. Individuals with the following medical conditions are not permitted to dive: asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, a history of heart attacks or heart problems, strokes, or recently diagnosed high blood pressure. Pregnant individuals and those taking antidepressants or other potentially contraindicated medications may also not participate. Participants must be able to equalize their ears without difficulty, similar to what is required when flying in an airplane. Children must be of adequate size to fit properly into the scuba equipment and must be capable of carrying a 40-pound tank on their back. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children must be at least 4 years old to be allowed on board the vessel. Health restrictions apply to this activity. All participants are required to complete a waiver and medical statement. Please carefully review the PADI Health Questionnaire before booking. If you are unable to pass the questionnaire or do not have a physician’s clearance where required, you will not be permitted to dive, and no refunds will be issued. Additionally, if you are currently taking any medications, please consult your doctor before participating in this program.
